Since I can't work/go to school I usually watch t.v. throughout the day. Usually it's scientific stuff, but every once in a while it's something ridiculous like Jerry Springer. I know it sounds odd but when you watch it as much as I do you begin to notice a pattern. Of course I know there are exceptions. 1. Once a cheater, always a cheater. It always amuses me when a story starts with "Well (s)he's cheated on me before...". Gee, really? Why didn't you leave the first time? Some adults are like children: if they think can get away with it, they'll keep doing it. 2. If you get rejected by your lover, don't expect your spouse to take you back.

Every once in a while (mostly on Facebook) I come across some athiest-bashing hootsba. Every time I do, I can't help but wonder if they remember that simple line from Matthew 7:1: "Judge not lest ye be judged." It always amuses me that me, an athiest, a "heathen" can remember that when a Bible-thumper can't (or rather: chooses not to).

So I get e-mails from democrats.org sometimes- I'm not one, but politically I lean to the left. I recently recieved one that would've made me laugh out loud if I wasn't mute. As  most people know, Trump lost the popular vote but won the Electoral College. Well, he's claiming everyone who didn't vote for him voted "illegally". ... ... I ...  just ... what? I didn't vote for him, and my vote was sure as hell legal: I'm a natural-born American citizen and I have the right to vote via the 19th Amendment. This nutjob reminds me of some people I knew once: if somebody didn't like them, it must be a conspiracy!

Recently  I got into a little spat on Facebook with one of my Facebook friends (let's call him Walter) about something he posted: he basically told religious people that when they're bowing to their god they can kiss his ass. Now I'm an athiest too, but unlike some athiests (Walter included) I believe whatever someone believes is fine. As long as they aren't hurting anyone/being a dick I really don't care. Criticizing someone for their beliefs makes you nothing more than a hypocrite.

I hear people talk about time travelling as jumping from 1 point to another; say, 500 years into the future in an instant. Well, what if the jumps are actually a lot smaller? My idea is so simple it's almost laughable, but the more you think about it the more it makes sense: Technically we're always time travelling, a second at a time, to the future. If we weren't, we'd just be frozen in space and nothing would ever happen. The way I see it, time travel is like accretion (planet formation): it doesn't happen all at once. Dark matter. The stuff that (allegedly) fills the universe, yet it cannot be seen, felt or detected. So what's out there? I understand it's hypothetical, but I tend to hear it talked about as theory (dictionary definition- a theory is a group of tested propositions; often confused with hypothesis). Personally I think dark matter is something basically made-up to make the equations work. It supposedly fills the universe and is responsible for it's expansion, but where is it? I've been quadriplegic and mute for a few years now, and there's typically 2 things people (incorrectly) assume when they meet me: that I'm hard of hearing (all your yelling is doing is making you look like an idiot) or that I'm stupid (1 2 4 8 16 32 64...).
